Durham Live is the entertainment district around Pickering Casino Resort, at Church and Bayly Streets in Pickering. This page sets out what stands there now and what is planned for the site.
The district

Durham Live sits at Church and Bayly Streets in Pickering, Ontario. It is an entertainment and tourism district that mixes culture, nightlife and commercial venues around the casino resort. Pickering Casino Resort stands 2.7 km from central Pickering, measured in a straight line.
The Porsche Experience Centre Toronto is also part of the district. Still to come are a convention centre, film studios and an amphitheatre, all of them planned.
Every 30 minutes, Durham Region Transit route 917 travels Bayly Street past Church Street, linking Pickering Station and Ajax Station. Its stops Bayly Westbound @ Church and Bayly Eastbound @ Church are the nearest scheduled stops to the resort.
The Arena
Inside the resort, The Arena is a theatre and event space with 2,500 seats. The resort also holds the Great Canadian Sportsbook, dining venues and meeting space. The casino floor covers 96,000 sq ft and opened on July 26, 2021. Public entrances to the theatres and gaming floors are fitted with metal detectors.
On June 16, 2025, the City of Pickering reported over $59.5 million in non-tax gaming revenue from the casino since it opened.
Down by Frenchman's Bay
Pickering's waterfront, known as the Nautical Village, sits on Frenchman's Bay. Its marinas are on the bay, and the Waterfront Trail is part of the area. Millennium Square hosts sunset concerts.
A free waterfront shuttle runs from June to September. Concert dates and shuttle stops are not covered here. Back at Church and Bayly, the slots and the hotel at Pickering Casino Resort stay open 24/7. Hours on holidays may change, and the venue's own website carries the details.
